My New 1818 Halve!

Recently it wasnky birthday and I thought I should get something cool for myself. Considering I always wanted a Bust Halve because they got Edge Lettering, I got one. Paid $53! Digging the rainbow! Any thoughts?

I saw that coin on eBay. Very cool and a good price.

 

Good deal, I paid $45 for a more worn 1818 half that probably had an old cleaning.

Nah. I gave it consideration, but I try my best to buy em higher grade. Still nice, tho.

Nice...if you're interested, it's O-112 (hey, I can't help it; it's a sickness) Check the obverse for a die crack which circles from the front of the bust through the first 6 stars, turns right across the cap, then circles through the right hand stars back to the date. It's usually a light crack and hard to see, but the 112a (late die state with the crack) is an R-5 coin and worth a small premium.
