lol... egg rolls are America-Chinese, not something you would find at an actual Chinese restaurant. People in China wouldn't eat that crap.

I thought the street vendors stuck everything from squid to radishes to pigeon eggs into a Chinese tortilla and deep-fried it - ?

Yes they eat just about any animal, but with minimal cooking usually. Deep fried is not something you see there outside of tourist areas.
