But we could collect the designs at least in silver and gold , hopefully in higher relief .

Late to the thread as well and considering all that I own for old US gold is a 1851 and 1853 $1, your start is extremely impressive. Looking into getting a $2.5 in the near future just waiting to find one for a good price.

Nice set. You have a good eye for gold.

Be careful, because the next step is you pick up a few duplicates, and find yourself working on a date set of $20 Saints and $10 Indians. ;)

I just notices that the $20 Saint, $10 Indian, $2.5 Liberty and the type I $1 coins were all graded at the same time. I assume you buying them all from the same source. Nothing wrong with that. I bought many of my coins from the same local sources.

Have you thought of starting a PCGS registry? I have several going, and find it to be a great way to display and keep track of my coins. Plus, it allows you to see them whenever you want, which is a big plus when you move your coins to a safety deposit box.

I have been getting them from a local source so I can see in hand before I buy. I am thinking about a PCGS registry set. Thanks

Well a new update at long last. About the highest grade for a $3.00 that I can afford. It is the most common of the $3 gold, but I really have been wanting one.

$1400 on the bay. Not a great deal, but I can live with it!

You couldn't spring for the 65's? HAHAHA, JK. Those are some beauties. I have yet to finish mine, still haven't picked the $1 coins I want, plus I got sidetracked with some ancients...

Just added them all into a PCGS 12 coin gold registry set. 3 coins to go!

Great looking addition! The fields look very clean and reflective. The strike looks very solid and it has very minimal contact marks. I'd say you got an "A" coin at a nice price!
