    silentnviolent accumulator--selling--make an offer I can't refuse

I haven't sold a coin, ever on eBay. Just throwing that out there. I listed some before but they didn't sell.

I may start selling some very soon though. Probably offering here and on my Facebook page for local collectors first, but then I'll offer them on eBay. Then I'll just be another sneaky slimy snake keeping titles simple and leaving the description in the section dedicated to it. Maybe you are right though, and that's why the only two I ever listed didn't sell. :)

Since you started with the whole calling me sneaky and sales practice talk......
What does it say about your business that you pimp a big ole signature line with a clickable banner of your company/site on cointalk and you cant take the time to become a supporting member at least?

Pardon me for saying this, but this is a more immature and classless comment than your previous one where you called me an idiot (which I see you have since removed).

First of all, you don't know my financial situation.

Secondly, you wouldn't know if Peter and I are friends or if I've provided financially in another form. I don't know Peter nor have I ever contributed money to his website, but again, you wouldn't know that.

Third, I, nor anyone else on this website, is obligated to contribute. It is a kind gesture and something I would like to do someday, but something I haven't been able to do yet.

Fourth, contributing money doesn't make someone a better or worse person. If you think so then I feel sorry for you and I'm happy to not see the world through your lense.

I contribute to this site as an active participant. As far as I know Peter doesn't have a problem with my banner. If he does he can bring it to my attention, or just remove it, which he hasn't.

Now go on and post again and continue to show us what a wonderful human being you are.

Would it have been better for the seller to put "cleaned" in the title - YES. Is there anything wrong with only putting it in the description, not really. On the other hand, if it were in his title, I would be willing to bet he would have avoided this problem. It is kind of like girls dressing provocatively and getting cat call or worse. The girl is not at fault, but I will bet most of it is avoidable..

Tell me this..Do you think its 100% fair practice to Rep a clickable link to your website...Pimping it out on a public forum...All the while not contributing a dime to keep that space up and running.. While other dealers/people do?

    Did i hit a nerve?
    Is it a rule? No
Do I honestly have a overall issue with it...Not really.

what are you talking about a better person?
Im just laughing at you calling me out for a something so silly and yet you pimp a sig line and banner and refuse to pony up $2.08 a month to help support the forum your soliciting on...

We were talking about salesmanship/business practices no? Not sure where you went into a whole Better/money/financial/peter/posting contribution issue

You can spin your next response to make me look like whatever you want..Obviously you keep trying..I really dont care as i know the person i am and how i conduct myself.

Ill keep poking the bear and getting you worked up. At the end of the day It just brings more attention to my original post and hopefully helps a seller out down the road so they dont have to deal with the situation i did.

Maybe I'm missing something here, but didn't the buyer bother to look at the coin sometime between receiving it and sending it to NGC?

That and if the buyer has the time to send the coin to NGC, they have the time to read the auction description.

I feel so much the same way in regards to political campaigns. After working as a solicitor for a political party, I cannot tell you how stupid I believe each and every donor to be. Seriously. That was the only job I ever had that made me feel so degraded and disgusted that I had to hit the bar on the way home to try to get it out of my mind. I've also worked 10 years as a CNA, so that's saying something! I've literally had crap smeared on me, had my teeth cracked, been punched and cussed out, while being the only male employee in the building....

I've worked 12 years moving buildings, which included disconnecting the sewer pipe. With those old cast pipes, that was done by swinging a sledge at it while lying flat in the trench I dug to get to it...

And I still never felt as dirty and rotten as I did soliciting political donations. I would literally smile when people told me to go to hell, and try my best to extend my dialogue with them rather than take in more fools' money.

I think it was just spiteful to mention any links in the sig. They are specifically allowed in the rules, and if I had a site I'd link it here too. Mine is just as bad, really. I don't have a site so I just say PM me if I have something you like. At least I remember writing that once. I can't see sig lines in posts on my phone. I would have to look at a profile page and I'm just not concerned with that enough to bother right now.

Yea I know that's what you've been trying to do the last several posts. It's pretty obvious. If you think it bothers me I promise I won't try to convince you that it doesn't.

On a serious note though, and please don't take this lightly... I know it was you that sent those messages through my websites contact me page. I can see the location of visitors to my website. There has only been one visitor to my contact page from North Carolina within the last 24 hours and the city matches that of your eBay profile (D'oh!).
Your IP address is recorded. If you continue to harass me through my website I will notify your internet service provider and law enforcement. Please don't take this lightly. You have been warned.

I have not nor would not mess with you or your site.
I can guarantee I have not sent you ANY messages.
If you do not believe me feel free to PM for my personal contact info and we can talk to the authorities together.
I have nothing to hide on that point, my cell is right here beside me if you would like to discuss.
Just let me know and I'll send over the number.
I'm not super computer savvy but it's proablly not hard to track where a message came from.

I repeat...I have not left you any messages or attempted to do anything other than respond to your comments here...

So someone from your same city sent those messages?? I'm having a hard time believing that. Now my website has been temporarily disabled because "someone" reported abuse. You will probably hear from me soon. I am getting to the bottom of this.

Why would I send you a email through your site when I Could PM here if I needed to discuss something in private.

As stated, my door is open. Pm me what the messages said.
Your saying the messages came from my town?

Probably best to move this to PMs since it's leaning more towards a personal issue between members...

My original post was based on someone hurting my bussiness. I would not do to you what I was complaining about, what your saying would be way out of bounds and LOW of someone...very Low.

I look forward to your findings/getting this resolved.

You described the coin correctly and it was a raw coin. "Not having time" to read the description is not really an excuse. He is the one buying raw coins and submitting, he should be knowledgeable enough to do that. You could have just wrote "See the picture and decide grade and condition for yourself". Have you considered calling Ebay and seeing if you can get the feedback removed? I have. A blocked bidder who had an issue buying from was trying to retaliate me used another account to leave me negative feedback.

I was looking on Ebay with the word cleaned in the title most if not all the sellers feedback had no problem with feedback as to the coins cleaned but the ones with it only in the description did . I have to say you are right it should be in the title and more so if you know it was cleaned. Yes people should read but its better to be up front not to have this type problem to come back on you. Would make you a better and more trusted seller at least I think so

After reading this thread, tempers flaring, what we can take away from this is that people are upset that the march of dimes set is sold out, and they missed their chance.
