It is about VF. I cannot tell for certain from that picture. It is worth $1.18 - melt. If you are even considering sending that coin for grading, please post the other coins you are considering having graded.

That coin is worth maybe 5 bucks so I wouldn't spend the 15 or more it would cost to hAve it graded. I would wait till I came across something better. Still yet a nice coin but not worth the submissions fee.

The 1928 quarter looks to be a nice coin. I don't mean this the wrong way but a common date , mid grade coin that would value at or below the cost to submit a coin for grading . Nice coin to keep but not to submit.

  9. Ok cool i paid 5 bucks for the quarter i still have a very small collection. I have never submitted anything before. One of my local shops is ngc dealer maybe they could do it for me. The March of dimes set that is.

Keep in mind NGC has a lot of rules for what coins can go on the same submission form with other coins. The 5 coin minimum for economy tier requires all 5 coins be on the same economy order. If your other coins have to go on different orders they won't help you meet the minimum.

Why do you want to submit a coin so bad ? Remember besides the grading fee there's shipping and insurance , by the time you're done you could buy a nice coin already slabbed .

Also an $8 handling fee per submission form.

However, sometimes it's worth adding in a filler coin to make the order cheaper.

For standard US it's $30 per coin, or $18 per coin for Economy. The 5 coin minimum means an Economy order of 5 coins will cost $90. That's the same price as a 3 coin Standard order. If the 2 filler coins aren't worth grading, it's still better to go with Standard because they will be graded a whole lot faster.

If you've got 4 coins going Standard you're at $120, it is probably worth adding in one filler coin to send the whole thing Economy at $90. This is assuming none of the coins are worth over $300 of course. So basically, with US orders you never want to use more than 1 filler coin.

For world coins it's different. The standard tier is $35 and the economy is $19, so it becomes economical to use 2 filler coins on a World order (3x$35=$105 vs. 5x$19=95). I have some common but high grade world coins I use as filler for world orders for this purpose. That way if I need another coin or two to fill out an order, I know they will at least come back MS65.

Unfortunately, that's not worth grading. If you're submitting in Economy tier, figure about $25 per coin to have 5 coins graded. This factors in the cost of tier grading, shipping and insurance to them, their handling fee, then shipping and insurance back.
