Found this interesting website that makes and sells guitar picks made of US and World Coins. I think they look pretty cool. I know that some of you with recoil with disgust and totally hate them! After 3 years, we submitted one to PCGS, and it came back Country & Western details... If they were really smart, they'd use 90% quarters, advertise them as [classy] silver (!) and pocket the trimmings.
I've tried metal picks before, and the problem is they tear up your strings. Also, I never felt I could get any subtle control or speed out of them. Sort of like playing the piano with a hammer.
If the submitter had been really smart, he would have submitted 1969 quarter guitar picks to PCGS requesting they use an insert with Woodstock - Jimi Hendricks on it. Chris
