Quick question. In your opinion, should a US dollar type set include a Mexican Pillar Dollar since they were legal and widely circulated in the US? What about a Gobrecht dollar?

In my novice opinion, "no" to the Mexican.
The Gobrecht dollar should be, but would be out of reach for most of us.

Nice thing about Type Sets, you get to define them any way you wish.

In my case my main type set consists ONLY of coins struck by the US Mint.
    AND
    ONLY business strikes.

One Exception: My birth year set includes proofs.
