A rare overdate bust half with original toning, great luster, and in a high AU grade... but WHY??? HOW??? OH THE HUMANITY!
Send it to PCGS. They may still slab it...hahaha. I have seen many damaged bust halves in their plastic lately.
I think you guys ought to give the girl a break. Those scratches aren't necessarily AS. If they're natural scratches (NS), she's entitled to a grade. It depends on what the experts say.
I always like the Flowing Hair liberty designs that we started with. The Bust Capped design kinda looked like a "blockhead". My opinion, of course, just felt we went a little backward in design...and NO offense to anyone But, to subject at hand: VERY nice coin! Hope it grades and slabs well. Sadly, scratches, but I have always been fascinated as to whom "held" the coins and why scratches, etc. happened!
