Strange line on proof penny.

    New member and first time posting. I posted this on Reddit and was told it appeared to be a polish line or something wrong with the plating. I'm posting here to see what you guys think. Can that happen with one very prominent raised line like this? When you look at the coin you can see the line but everywhere else is clear and reflective. Is this more valuable or less valuable because of it? Thanks for your help!

    I would doubt very much that it is polishing lines. I'd be very inclined to blame that on plating blisters. Value? I have no idea.

    I'm seeing doubling on that cent you got there... Good find in my opinion.

    I think the 'doubling ' effect is from the lighting angle.

    Quite common on Lincoln cents from the mid to late 80's.
