I had a jar going but recently separated the teens and twenties. I sold the rest for 75 cents a roll. If I find wheat cents in change and they have blue grime on them I spend them.
Then what are you asking us for? They're not worth anything except in bulk at a few cents each. We can't tell you whether they turn you on or not, that's up to you.
Bulk is the way to go, then. Maybe 2-4 cents each, seeing as how they're searched. The more as you go down from 1940 to the teens, the more you ask. Something like that, and keep the goodies.
As everyone says , there are numerous ways to 'sell' the wheats...each one is worth at least 2 0r 3 cents each to a dealer...those places that buy gold and silver and assorted coin shops. If you only have 'common' dates, then that is the easiest way and you can even use your 'cash' to buy another coin you desire or whatever....or you can post a few of the earliest dates and mint-marks and perhaps one of us might want to buy it from you at the usual prices that are listed in a 'coin world' value chart...
My thoughts are it is up to you. As individuals we collect for different reasons. I would ask myself why do I have them? Do they mean anything to me? Are they worth holding on to? Me personally I have lots of coins that are the farthest from being rare but I love to collect coins to collect not to sell. So I think that with you asking the question should I keep these it is your decision.
