Hello, I’m found this 1940s in a penny roll and am trying to determine if there is doubling on the obverse, especially on the word Trust. Also to the left of the S mint mark, I can’t tell for sure if there is a trace on another S or if it just looks like that.
I would appreciate your expert analysis.

    TRUST shows Die Deterioration doubling.
    Worthless doubling.
    Not a Doubled die variety.

    Paredolia on the mint mark.
    Not a Repunched mint mark.

The 0 took a hit. It's post mint damage.

Not a DD, just minted by a worn die. Some damage as well.

I see what you are referring to on the mint mark. It is most obvious on this photo:

But I believe it pareidolia as it doesn't show in the other photos.
Always good to ask and find out.

    Paddyman98 said it best.

Still a definite keeper, at least for me as I live on the East Coast and very few S cents seem to show up here.

    Keep looking :)

Looks like a nice and circulated coin, they are fun to find in circulation.
    Not seeing a doubled die.
MM position says that it isn't.
