Superb detail on that as. That's a coin that could have been tooled and smoothed, but it was fortunately left alone.
Wow, my friend => I've gotta get myself one of those elephant-skin hats before our big Canada Day croquet and BBQ!! (what a fantastic hat!!) Another amazing winner, Oki

Know how they say fads come back over the years? Notice how the hair comes from the back of the head toward the ears. I seen hair styles like this today. Cool coin OKIDOKI love the facial expression.
Hahaha... once again we were stalking the same coins. I only won 2 out of 9. The two I really intended to buy looked unwanted and I bid in the last few seconds but someone else swooped in at 1- second (Clio again??) and I lost, despite bidding double or more the estimate. They were not expensive coins. I did buy something a little more expensive in the Provincial section and decided not to bid on any of the Hadrians. They sure had a nice array of travel series denarii in this auction!
