Brand new 1993D Lincoln Double Ear never before seen

    Is it a die chip or a North migrating doubled die ear?

    My best guess is a lamination problem.

    Looks like a pretty cool die chip/break to me.

    Die chip/break as jay said. It's a Zincoln so it can't be a lamination error, as I understand them.

    I've got 15 rolls left from this box. These came customer wrapped someone turned them in to the Bank. They are 90% 1990D, 1991D, 1992D, 1993D. Now I'm hoping I will find another one like it in these rolls. There certainly aren't many doubled die listings for those years from the Denver mint.
