I got bored and just went through all of my wheaties. I found 3 or 4 that I missed before when I was going through and putting them in one of my Whitman albums, so that made me happy. I just wanted to start a new thread which I thought would be intresting. Which is your rarest wheatie, mintage wise? In other words, which wheatie that you have in your collection has the lowest mintage numbers?

Mine would be the 1938 D penny, with roughly 20 Million minted!

A 1909 S VDB! lol, j/k. I don't have one. But I do have some with some nice mintages, all I found in rolls that I bought from a dealer. My top three are:

    1931 19,396,000

    1933 14,360,000

    1915 29,090,970

Mine would also be a 1909-S VDB in VF. I guess if you count such things as RPM's then I have an 1958S/S/S that is said to have a "mintage" of under 100.

Mintage wise, 1931-S(2), Rarity wise 1914-D, then 1909-S. Don't have an S-VDB though

Those are nice pics! How do you do that? My digital won't get any closer than 18mm so I can't get a lot of detail. I have to use the Digital Blue Microscope and it doesn't have a lot of detail either except very, very close up.

I've never paid more than 1 cent for one (i.e. they're all from circulation) so I don't have any great VDBs etc. Anyways, my best is probably my 1910-S in close to EF condition (Red Book lists it at $14-28 depending on condition)
