Can you tell me anything about misprint coins? I have a 1993 P Quarter i atached a pic. The pic is not the best but in it you can see the back of the coin. On the bottom half of the eagle you can see a round deposit of material. ??? Any info

The part of the coin that is distorted is raised the thisckness of five sheets of paper.

it has not ben shot I too have played with bb guns, it is quite different then that

Greetings and Welcome to the forum. The coin looks like somebody was playing with their dads MIG welder and forgot to turn on the argon gas... LOL :D

Crossman 880 or Daisy 760 with a flat headed lead pellet with about 10 pumps at about 25 yards would do that. I've got lots of marks like that on the back of my garage.

It looks like someone has taken a potshot with a slug gun.Still, that 1993P Quarter is still worth its face value of 25c.

I used to borrow a slug gun of the then neighbour when I was 17 or 18.We used to take potshots at the currogated iron fence.I liked the tinny noise as the slugs bounced off the fence.

    Aidan.
