Did anyone see the front page of the new Coin World (it may have been Numismatic News) . The US mint will be releasing into circulation at 100's of RETAIL places a special quarter on April 15th at 2PM. These quarters will have some type of special marking telling the person who recieves it to go to the ANA website for a Washington dollar proof set I think, & I think there is also a bigger prize but I dont recall what it is.This is to promote "COIN WEEK" . There is alot more stuff Im probably forgetting since I read it while leaving work today. So-Do you think these will be the next big thing for the TPG's to certify. Or will the GOV want them back in exchange for the Proof set ? Obviously they wont get them all so I doubt that will be a fruitfull endevor on their part. Either way check it out if you get the publication & go buy something at 2:05 pm on April 15th & hope you get one in change.

According to the article specially marked dollars will be spent at various locations. There is no mention of the US Mint "releasing" them at that time. Considerable difference I think!
I wonder if any spending will be done around here... New York goes a lot farther north and west than The Bronx, you know... (whine, snivel, complain)
Ana The article is in the april 10 Numismatic News. It appears that the ANA is putting on this evet. The article says the coin will direct you to the ANA website for further instruction on how to win a presidetial proof set. Entrants will have a chance to be drawn for a gold spouse coin.
