Hello Friends, I recently brought a bunch of these dollars. Some of them look a bit unique. Is this a stuck thru error worth grading for value of the coin? I used a bit of dim light in the front of the coin to showcase the doubling where it is.In these coins its very hard to photograph the clear doubling without using very dim light. God Bless Beck.
It is impossible to tell from your photos which VAM you have. Since you can view the coin in hand, it would be easier for you to compare it to the list of 1923 VAM's yourself. http://www.vamworld.com/1923-P+VAMs Also, I can't tell if that is a strikethrough or a scratch. If you can see displaced metal raised along the edge, it is probably a scratch. I'm inclined to think that it is a scratch because of the way it crosses the devices. Chris
I say no. Not a Struck through of any kind. Post Mint Damage. Save your money. Don't get it attributed as an error because it is not. I collect many Struck-thru errors and this looks like a scratch as mentioned by the previous post.
