Got this a few weeks ago in the old yellow ANACS holder. I cracked it and sent it to PCGS. Just want to know what you think it should be graded.

Kind of getting close to AU50, yet still XF45, IMHO.

Must be strike on the legs since the face and shield aren't as worn. 55

it feels like a 55, I say PCGS knocks it to 53 because of the black stuff on the obv.

I'm leaning towards XF 45 just because of the lack of breast feathers on the reverse. I do see what appears to be a bit of wear in the very high spots. Just my opinion.

    AU-50 was my gut reaction.

Aren't these type 1 SLQs and the "no stars" seated half dimes/dimes graded on a different "curve" relative to the rest of the series. I remember reading somewhere that there are parts of two different series that are treated differently by TPGs, or maybe just PCGS, in terms of grading standards. Anyone know what I'm rambling about?

45 unless the luster is higher than I'm seeing.

    50. Nice detail, but I'm not seeing a lot of luster.
