Anyone know how much this coin is worth? I'm guessing around $810.

The only 2 NGC I find on Heritage sold for $1082 and 1265, but those were higher than PCGS ($1035, $920, & $862). I am not sure how to evaluate that, but you are probably looking at >$900

NGC's reputation in grading must be less than PCGS (The counterfeit detection is the same) as it used to be a PCGS MS63. I Cracked it out and sent it to NGC and it graded MS64.

Thanks for the compliment! By the way, what coin is in your avatar/signature? It looks real nice!

As far as the grading goes I think that's about par for the course. If you sent it back to PCGS they may give it a different grade. It's all about the opinion of the grader at that moment. 63 or 64 from either is good and I'm not sure how much it would affect the value.?. Others that know may comment.

I love the looks of that ship :) Thanks...

IMHO it is the other way around----NGC is better in my book than PCGS...

Others have already posted approximate values on the piece, but let me add some information. I believe that a coin like this will have a much different value in the sight unseen vs. the sight seen market. The TPGs can be a little inconsistent grading gold, as it can be very tough to grade. Nearly all MS Saints have roll friction on the high points. Sometimes, even MS-65 pieces can have numerous bag marks (more than one would expect) if the coin has exceptional luster.

If coin is exceptionally nice for a MS-64, then it will bring premium money in a sight seen market. On a venue like ebay, however, it will likely bring less, as people only have a few pics to use in evaluating the coin.
