is the copper pail worth more than the coin that was in it?

Heck that fingernail is a sign of a working man.:) No problem with it. Even I think the coin is fake based off the pitting and general looks of it, but can't really add any more than what has already been mentioned. Of course I would like to see (in general discussion forum) - a picture of the car. Especially if it is restored. Welcome to the forum.

  3. Thanks for the sympathy on the thumb, the car is a project and I just started trying to see what's all there, its a rust bucket I bought 20 years ago and just now having the opportunity to look at it a little closer.it looks like it may be a project for the children haha.and I'm new to the technology, this is the first form I've found, and was very informative.

The pail is definitely worth a lot more than the coin. (And I don't even know what the pail is worth.)

You are obviously someone who works with your hands. Nothing wrong with that.

Unfortunately the coin is a replica beyond any doubt. The word copy is often just below the sun's rays, and I think I see something there. It is clearly a replica though with or without the copy stamp, thousands of these souvenir type replicas were produced before the law mandating the stamp.
