It was definitely love-at-first-sight when I gazed upon this sweet beauty!! (yummy-yummy, eh?)

Man, the portrait is uber cool, especially with that awesome crystallized etching!!

... and although this baby doesn't feature an animal (my usual M.O.) I seem to be a complete sucker for a sweet amphora coin?!! (maybe a big keg gets my attention?!!)

=> regardless, I hope that my coin-buddies enjoy this example as much as I do ...

    THESSALY, Lamia, AR Hemidrachm
    Circa 350-300 BC
    Diameter: 15 mm
    Weight: 2.58 grams
Obverse: Head of young Dionysos left, wearing ivy wreath
Reverse: ΛΑMΙΕ ΩΝ, amphora; ivy leaf above; to right, prochous with handle to right
Reference: Georgiou, Mint 11; BCD Thessaly II 127.3; HGC 4, 120
Other: 3h … lightly toned, minor porosity
    From the BCD Collection

heeeeeeeeeeeey....i thought you were on the wagon! :woot:

that's a sweet little greek stevex! interesting that the crystallization is much more pronounced on the obverse than the reverse. and it's amazing how regular the pattern is on the face.

    super coin!
