So I'm resting over here outside the Bourse floor before early bird opens up and some guy comes over extremely angry, talking to anyone who will listen. Apparently he is banned completely from attending the show by the Central States Society. He keeps talking about "Foley" who runs the show and calling him a "criminal" and the whole society "currupt." I have no idea why he's banned, but security just came over and told him to calm down and stop publicly bad - mouthing everyone. Drama at the coin show! I know the guy is disappointed and angry. He made the trip and reservations for nothing. I don't know how I would react. He keeps telling the security guy that karma is going to catch up with Central States and that they won't talk to him to tell him why he's banned.
If it's true they won't talk to him, then that's unacceptable. If they have a grievance, they should air it and try for a solution.
I can't imagine why they wouldn't give him a reason, but who knows. I would think they wouldn't arbitrarily ban him without cause. Bruce
Possibly a vest pocket dealer trying to deal with the general public attending. That can get you kicked out of a show.
I don't think we have all the facts. That being said, my experience with people like this is that they DO know why they are banned. They just aren't willing to admit it to themselves.
Lisa: Better to remain silent and thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt. Homer's Brain: What the hell does that mean? Quick say something clever. Homer: Takes one to know one! Homer's brain: Swish!
Yeah I heard the dealer buzz about that today. One even asked me when we agreed on a price if I resided in MN.
