Welcome to Coin Talk! If you could provide even a scan of the token it would help. Btw.... not a good idea to post you're email address.....lots of spiders and bots love them!
Yeah ssnuffy, we really need a scan or pic. Some of these Civil War Tokens have a lot of varieties and are pretty valuable. The "By" (Fuld 222,223) error is documented in the references. As far as your "Shoot Him On The Spot" token goes, we need a pic of that one also. I have all the references, as do some of other guys. We would be glad to look them up for you.
If you want to know something that is scary, google his email and look how many times he posted his email on the internet of which one of them he provides his home mailing address..
From the OP's description, I would assume that he has Patriotic token 223/328a, an R-2 rarity cwt worth about $20 in XF condition. If the token is made of brass, or if it looks like the letters "E" and "Y" are both in the same position (die 222), value could vary slightly. You could market it on ebay or possibly with your local coin dealer.
I came across this old post. I also have such a token and it is for sale on ebay now. You could see the pix there. just search for : "ERROR! Civil War Token Army & Navy FULD 222/223 SEE Desc. Collectible Token/Coin" I would be very interested in reading the documentation mentioned earlier of this error. Can anyone provide a link?
I did a search for "Civil War Token Die Photos" and came across a number of sites, but I found it here first, middle of the top row: http://www.cwtoken.com/Civil_War_Token_Type_Set/Patriotics/Pages/AJ_-_Jackson.html Actually your cwt id is 223/328a, which has an R2 rarity (fairly common). The error does not make it more rare, and in fact a number of that style of token with the correct spelling have much higher rarity numbers. Die number 222 that you mention in your auction heading would display a different error, where the "B" is followed by a composite figure made up of both an "E" and a "Y". A cwt with the die combination of 222/223 is not known to exist.
