WOW!! Super coin Doug H... That's the first Eugenius coin I have ever seen owned by someone other than a Museum, or otherwise in publications or coin books.....I can't recall any example at auction since i returned to collecting Ancients, let alone in many years of coin browsing. That has to be incredibly rare, whether siliqua or bronze, and quite a beauty in silver.
As people seem to like late silver all over there, let's show off a bit with argentei too (after all I didn't shoot first...) Diocletian, Argenteus Nicomedia mint, 3rd officina, AD 295-296 DIOCLETI ANVS AVG, Laureate head of Diocletian right VICTORIAE SARMATICAE, The tetrarchs sacrifying before a campgate. SMNΓat exergue 3.3 gr Ref : RCV # 12615 (1000), Cohen #491 var, And following, some kind of winner, forever in my top ten coins, I guess Constantius, Argenteus Antioch mint, 8th officina, c. AD 296-297 CONSTANTIVS CAESAR, Laureate head of Constantius right VIRTVS MILITVM, Campgate, *ANTH* at exergue 3.40 gr Ref : Cohen #318, RCV # 13966 (1100) Q
Both are incredibly gorgeous coins Cucumor!!! I love the reverses, especially the tetrarchs sacrificing before a campgate... I'd love to have either one of them in my slowly growing collection.

Don't know how I missed this thread, great coins all. Count me in for a beer, but I will pass on the hookers if you don't mind
Hmmm... I actually HAVE a Siliqua... Roman Empire AR Siliqua Arcadius 395-408 CE 16mm, 1.1g, 12h OBV: DN ARCADI-VS PF AVG, Pearl diademed, draped, cuirassed bust r REV: VIRTVS RO-MANORVM, Roma seated l on cuirass, holding Victory on globe and reversed spear. REF: Stolen from the Doug Smith collection... (Thank you, Sir) Mine is a VERY lucky piece: a meteor slammed into the reverse and the siliqua saved me... The number 3 is my favorite number TWICE. Unbelievable...
