Slowly, I am finishing my albums. I know that many of you would rather have one really good coin compared to a finished album but the feeling after finishing an album is great. I just received the last piece of the album (1885) and, although I will continue to upgrade, I'm happy to have filled all holes. I know that the 1885 isn't in great shape, I feel that I got a good deal. I only have one more coin to get in my Buffalo Nickel album and I'm slowly still working on my type set as well.
Cool beans man! I'm taking my time on this album. Its not my top priority, but probably my second favorite coin...congrats on getting the holes filled man, that's pretty cool. Where'd you get your '85?
@Nevadabell won't like this but I paid $160 for it. It was listed for $175 without a best offer option. I contacted the seller and said I'd be interested in buying it for $160. He contacted me back saying that he would change the price. I bought it and it came today. I'm a happy guy.
That's how you fill that hole! If you hadn't bought that coin, that hole in your album would have started speaking to you, saying stuff like, "Come on dude, don't be a wuss. Just drop a few.. two, three..six, seven hundred bucks on an 1885 nickel and fill me, bro! To heck with the kid's braces, car insurance and all that extraneous crap..." I only say that because that's what the holes in my albums tell me. Oh yeah. They talk.
Personally, I would have gone for this one: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Key-Date-18...352?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item51cf8f1b68 buy it now $135, without the reverse damage, from a coin counter.
