Very nice piece ro. I always like Sestertii and it seems Domitian has many of the better looking ones.

Domitian did not strike great quantities of bronze coinage early in his reign. Your coin is evidence of when he did so only the best engravers were engaged. Awesome coin!
Wowwww now that's a very nice Sestertius, Ro ! I can find only one example online.. yours ! it looks like RIC-II old edition nr 240 but I do not see a spear..
I agree---but now I'm wondering which is closer to the actual coloring and patina---since that is what we all try to capture.... I kind of hope the reality is somewhere in the middle because I love dark chocolate patinas, but just a bit lighter than the first and just a bit more of an aged contrast in the second.
