I've recently come across a pile of old coins and found some I could really use some help with. I don't know anything about coins but am trying to learn a little before I sell. Any help would be appreciated! First I have a token, about the size of a modern quarter, bronze coloured, it has a ship on one side and on the other it says, " SHIPS COLONIES & COMMERCE". No date though. Next I have a half penny token, Province of Nova Scotia,1840. (thistle?) Also, Lincoln wheat pennies, 1934,1935,1936,1937,1944s,1945. Canadian dollars from 1963 to 1978, about 15 in all. Canadian 50 cents from 1940 to 1983, about 70 in all. Canadian 25 cents from 1940 to 1968, about 20 in all. Many 12-sided Canadian nickels. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks
1840 Nova Scotia halfpenny token $5.00 VG - $75.00 EF 1.00, .50 and .25 before 1968 are .800 silver and are .60,.30 and.15 troy oz. There are,of course key dates and higher grades in those years that are worth much more than bullion value. If you give me a list I can help you. Some of the nickels also could have value depending on the year and condition. Bill

O.K. 1927 5 cent VG .50 - EF $15.00 1942 5 cent depends if it is nickel or tombac (brass) 1943 5 cent VG .25 - EF $1.00 The rest will not be much more than face value. The only quarter over bullion value is the 1946. F- $1.25 --EF $8.00 50 cents up to 1946 are VG $3.00 - EF $12.00. The rest up to 1965 will be bullion value after that 50 cents. The silver dollars are bullion value. The nickel dollars are face value. All the values I give for Canadian coins are in $CDN.
