NGC has this listed as an N1 large date, but I believe it's the small date, as I already have a large date that looks bigger. I noticed there are N2 and N4 nonproof varieties for this date. How can I tell which one it is?

You're right, it's not the large date. It looks like an N-4 to me.

How can you tell between the N2 and N4?

Well, most of your diagnostic markers are either gone, or would need to be put under a strong glass to see, so all that's left to me to determine the difference between the N2 and N4 is the positioning of the first digit. Like I said, if I had it under a strong glass, I might be able to find other markers, but the date is what I'm going by.
