I know it is tough to tell without a loupe, but I think there is at least potential. The second digit does not seem to be an 8. Which means this coin is either a 1796, 1798, or 1799. The reverse die looks like the 1799...

    Any thoughts would be appreciated!

I don't see the second digit as a "7." Couldn't this be an 1800? Last digit a zero?

It could be an 1800, the second digit really does not particularly look like an 8 to me though. It appears to have a flat top which seems to form a point on the left. I have been trying to find an 1800 die pair that looks really probable and I just haven't been able to find one.
