    Pretty much impossible to tell any more, but I did think it might have been either an 8 or a 3.

    I don't collect Peace dollars by date and MM , but there should be diagnostics for a '28 . I imagine with the smaller # made they should have used just a couple dies .

    We don't deal in error coins like this very frequently; honestly it's a bit out of my wheel house, and I'm really sure of its value. Someone else here in the error forums would likely have a better idea of its value than I would! :)

    I guess you could check for VAMS of '23 and '28 . Finding out it is a '28 would be cool .
