@Kentucky No. A guy is trying to sell it to me, but many things are wrong with him as he avoids questions like what his full name is, how long he has done it, and how/where exactly he got his coins. When asking how he is sure of the coins are real, he respond that he “has studied archeology” in Turkey. – That he buys his money in Turkey just make me more suspicious. I am trying to figure out whether they are fake or not to report it to the police.
They're fine. Sounds like he's more concerned about Turkish authorities tracking him down than anything else. BTW - industry slang is "gets." A tetras is a bronze denomination from Sicily.
Hmmm?.... He also calls himself a name that sounds from Balkan, but in his mail he has used a pure Danish name and surname despite he is from Turkey. So he is real you say?. - It is noted.
They look authentic to me, and if Ardatirion says they're good, they're good. Still, it would be nice to know the weights.
I'll pile on. They look very good to me. My problem would be the Turkish laws regarding the sale of antiquities. My understanding is that they are pretty strict. I would hate to pay for something just to have it confiscated before I got my hands on it. Good luck.
