Lincoln Cent Error-Some Help Please.

    I've seen photos of these before and this is one of them, not mine. Could someone give me a quickie explanation as to what this is called & how this happens, and... is it worth $30.00? Thanks so much. mV3mLfvb1mAXZt1S00RWEAw.jpg

    So 2 things are happening to your Cent. First of all it's an obvious Broadstrike out of collar. Another coin was on top of the Obverse that caused that nasty beautiful Indent and caused such a spread that it tore up the metal! IMO yes worth $30.00 and even more than that! Here is my Nickel slab but no tear.

    Thanks Paddy, I can always count on you. I don't have this yet but would like to. I'm going back for a second look. Edit-Bid on it, I'll let you know tomorrow. I'm not going to bid more than $40.00 though.

    Oh yes.. sometimes your Cent in question is referred to as A Mushroom Broadstrike with Indent
