A little rough but I see some HIGH prices on NGC for this coin. 1903 1/12 Tanga. Needs an acetone bath, maybe. Any thoughts on value? 960,000 mintage.
I have no idea what catalogue says. The problem is lower grade coins don't receive values like US ones do. That's a hard one to grade, since obverse looks like a g or vg, yet the reverse crown has Vf details. Interesting coin though, never seen one like it. Where did you get it?
NGC shows $60 in VF20....I know NGC is a little high on some coins but wow! http://www.ngccoin.com/price-guide/...-tanga-km-13-1901-1903-cuid-36841-duid-106373
Ok, so that coin is very very very rare in MS grades. It can be found here in Portugal but mostly looking like that or not a lot better. Of course, value wise... given that we have such a small market, only high grades are really valued (and by high grades im not speaking of NGC/PCGS graded coin)
Thanks for the info guys! I have it up for auction. Already got a $5 bid + shipping for it. I'm happy considering I paid a few cents for it!
