2009 Clad Proof Struck Through Clothe.

  1. looks like it has been struck through one of the fibers on one of the workers gloves.

    Are you sure it is a strikethrough, and not just a fiber inside the case? It doesn't look like a strikethrough to me.

    Definitely looks like a strike through to me.

    I'm not convinced, at least not from that photo. Perhaps the OP can back off a little to show us a little more of the coin.

    If the coin is in a plastic case, another possibility would be to tap the side of the case against the table to see if the thing moves.

    Could be a strike thru, with the retained cloth

    Many sources for this, uniform, gloves, hair net, etc. Always a possibility. I found one last year and picked up $10.00 for it on ebay. (2009P FY cent)

    If it is a strike through (and not a stray fiber in the case) it was definitely retained.
