Description: A CW spread shows an extra horizontal bar of the 2 in the date just above the normal horizontal bar. The variety shows the master die doubling known for this date on LIBERTY and IGWT.

What I can see: Die Markers: Obverse Stage A: A small die gouge touches the center left side of the G in GOD. A die scratch extends SSW to the rim from the lower left corner of the L in LIBERTY. Remnants of a die clash can be seen above the date. Two long die scratches run SW from the bottom of the R in LIBERTY. A die scratch runs from SW to NE above the BE in LIBERTY. Numerous other die scratches can be found throughout the obverse. Reverse Stage A: A small die gouge can be found just NW of the upper left corner of the Memorial roof. A die scratch runs parallel to the right side of the 2nd A in AMERICA. A small die gouge (dot) can be found just to the right of the top of the 5th Memorial column. A die scratch extends SW from the left side of the 6th Memorial column (don't see this). A small die gouge (dot) is centered in the 8th Memorial bay about two-thirds of the way up from the bottom. Reverse Stage B: Most Stage A markers have been abraded away. Die scratches run from west to east through EPU (can see them on the left, not really through). A die scratch runs from the tip of the right cornice to the C in AMERICA. Numerous other die scratches can be found throughout the reverse.

Nope. The doubling that is supposed to be there for the 2 in the date is not there.

I don’t think so. All I really see is that coin is a slight MAD.

Well yeah, it has that. Maybe I'm just tired, and the coin is pretty worn, but I'm seeing doubling on the MM. Also I see so many markers it's hard to believe I'm wrong, but it would be far from the first time. Thanks: Lou

There are a number of Doubling that occurs on a 1972. But I’m not seeing a mint mark in the coin you posted. Did you attach the correct photo? It’s nice looking and a definite hole filler in an album.

Yes there is no MM. Thanks, obviously I need a lot more studying on the '72 Lincoln's. I will endeavor to be more careful in the future. Thanks: Lou
