I am a rookie and its being offered by a company with a BBB rating of A+ (I independently researched this) for $1675. Is this a fair deal?

    Thanks!

I am posting this a few forums while I learn the ropes. Thanks for your patience!

Hardly....That's what one might pay for the coin in MS 63+ condition

@Lobo_505 , I would go to Heritage Auctions and look through their auction archives. You'll be able to find years of price points for the coin. It will give you an idea of fair market value.

At most $1000 would be about right.

I believe it is "Rive D'Or" for "bank of gold".

I've seen quite a few pieces from the "Rive D'Or" collection/hoard, but didn't know anything about it. Here's a copy and past from the interweb, so it'll be here on CT:
"Rive d’Or Hoard – This is one of several European gold hoards that have been discovered since WWII. The Rive d’Or gold hoard had been stored in a vault in Paris until the New York Mint purchased the coins. PCGS is the authenticating agency"

What is a fair price for a 1908 gold Indian in ms 62 condition from Rive d’Or collection?
