Well, I came here at 8:00 and forgot to log in...I hit "post reply" and my message was posted as a guest with this error message...

"This post will not be fully displayed until you register or login!"

I then hit the login button and logged in...

Soooo where did my post go????

    Is it lost forever?

He's stringing us along. It's a low - mid AU that he probably already sold or consigned to Tom B.

Then why isn't Tom forthcoming? He's an honorable member here. I've faith in the fellow.....

It was just a guess. Honor doesn't have anything to do with it. Maybe he just thinks it's polite to let Shaner tell us himself.

He said he was going to wait for Shaner to give any info before he did. I think that was on like page 7 or 6.

Shaner, I had the same thing happen the other day when I was going to be one of those people yelling at you to tell us already! Haha. I didn't log in, got the same message you did saying it wouldn't be posted until I did log in, then it was gone. So sadly, your post is gone too I suppose. But PLEASE be so kind as to retype it for all us curious souls!

I have not posted more details because the coin doesn't belong to me, I have no financial interest in it and I do not know what information shaner wants to disclose. Therefore, although I know what it looks like in-hand, have spoken at length with shaner and know what PCGS thought of the coin; I do not feel at liberty to share the information without shaner's permission. It's a simple matter of confidence.

Dang, it must have been a detailed, lengthy post. Hate when that happens! Trying to be patient...

By "graded" do you mean that it straight graded? We just want to know the grade.

I basically explained my whole day. It was a lengthy post, which I lost an hour of my life.

I will be back this afternoon and repost it.

    Apologies to all.

No we didn't consign it, sell it, auction it or anything.

Sheesh, just post the grade. This is stupid. It's not like we're waiting for either white smoke or black smoke. It's an AU coin that many on this thread helped you sort out. Now you're playing the tease game.

I have lost some long work in the past. I'm slow at getting it just the way I want it from the start. I always copy long post on my clipboard a few times and just before posting it. It really ticks me off to loose all that work.

I am sorry that you feel the need to go, It is far more important to me to share the events leading up to getting the coin back with all of you, than to just plaster the results and move onto the next thing. I mean, is this a hobby that people enjoy or is it just a business? To me it's fascinating.

Technically, I already posted the results...they didn't show up. :(

Yes....I agree copy and paste. I will be on after work tonight and will rewrite everything.
