That is a beauty Willieboyd2!!! You're a good person for reeling that poor wheatie in and giving it its proper lifestyle back - safe in a collection! Esky
You sometimes have to stop for a moment and thank that you are living in such a great country. Ignorance of numismatics can be a blessing at disguise and this thread is a great example.
Anemic: I think you did pretty darn well for face! Very awesome job! Willie: Very awesome! :thumb: Phoenix
nice barber! i keep any wheat cent, no matter what year or condition. i do not quite know why people spend these when they don't need them in their collection.
Great buy for 25 cents lol... Best quarter I ever got in change was a barely circulated 1964 quarter.
I used to run a cash register at a gas station. This was like 20 years ago - but this senior citizen bought a cup of coffee - the price was $.25 cents - When he dropped that baby on the counter, I knew exactly what it was. Turned out to be just a regular 1943 quarter - but I was happy. Still am and I have that quarter to this day. Lots of other fond memories as well - like when this guy bought $10 in gasoline and paid with half dollars - all were 1964!!! Only shame of it was the other person I was working with wanted them just as bad. So we each got half. Still profitable though My only regret is back then all I knew to look for was wheaties and silver. To think of the 1984 and 1983 Double Dies that MUST have gone through my hands at one point. Augh! I almost wouldn't mind a part time job like that again, just to search money on the side! lol Esky
