There are many. Find a Bank of Upper Canada token in true Uncirculated. The same applies to many of the "maritime" tokens. They are undervalued in the American market, always have been, and always will be, but prices always increase because the mintages were small. The same applies to Conder tokens. You do not specify a time frame to reap your profits. Are you looking for one year or ten or twenty? The Morgan Dollar is the number one trade coin in American numismatics. You can find many undergraded examples in ANACS holders, for instance. And so far, we have only talked about coins. Across the full range of numismatics, there are no end of examples. Everyone wants airline stock certificates and computer stock certificates, and automotives are a standard. Michael
One area that I would suggest looking into is Civil War and Hard Time Tokens. A much underrated area of numismatics. Do not overlook currency. As more collectors look into the currency market, they are realizing that many good values are undervalued. You must however do the research. Don't ever buy based solely on price.
I go to ANA conventions. I have made only seven of the last 21 since I joined, but I do go. I also went to a Canadian Numismatic Association convention. More travel is involved, but your American dollars go farther. At Michigan State Numismatic Society conventions, you can always find these for sale, but, I confess that to my eye, they are overgraded. The fault lies not so much with the dealer, but with the excellent workmanship on these medal-like coins. For issues of the 1850s, nothing American comes close and so dealers take one look at the deep strike and fine details and overgrade them.
I agree with GDJMSP on His choices, I would also add a couple, High grade Jefferson FS Nickels,, Seated Quarters all types.
