This piece looks really strange to me. I wanted to run it by you guys before I listed it up for sale to make sure it was ok. Old laquer? Counterfeit?
The only thing that looks weird to me it the "broken" bust. Usually the cutoff on a bust is clean, I cannot recall ever seeing one like that.
Is it the type you're asking about? That's the personification of Carthage on the reverse, a less common type.
Yes, I was referring to the blob of metal under the bust on the obverse. Do you recall seeing such a cutoff?

The coin itself looks good to me and in excellent shape. Perhaps some kind of lacquer might cause that yellowish color.
The style looks fine. Look at Carthage mint coins - the style in general is somewhat different from that of the European mints. The same is true of Alexandria. The obverse simply exhibits a die cud.
