Someone on FB posted a real hoot-The rolling Stones on the Mike Douglas Show after they were only together for 18 month. Mike brought some girls on stage and they practically fainted. Mike asked Mick if he was the one who got all the girls and Keith said, "no, he actually attracts the boys". LMBO.
Every so often on this forum, I read posts lamenting the fact that coin collecting is a dying hobby and young people just aren't interested. And yet, when a presumably young person invites other collectors into their circle, they get ridiculed for their use of a particular venue and adjective?
For my part, I absolutely encourage young people to pursue what ever avenue they wish to further their enjoyment of this wonderful hobby. But for me FB is a no no, has been hacked over and over again and too much information is available for crooks to pursue. There are safer alternatives such as starting his own website, not just a page on FB. And of course I wish him/her all the best in their pusuits.
I don't facebook either, but if anyone thinks they have any privacy anywhere else on the internet, they are sorely deluded.
My son never fails to slip in "So Dad, what was it like having a pet dinosaur?". My reply now is "I don't remember but what is like to have your first few gray hairs?"
