Hmmm, the 5,000 club---I will probably not live long enough to accumulate that many... LOL Congrats Ardatirion!!!!
5000? *awkward* Yah, I don't really know what to say? (for once) Hey, I'm the first to admit that my post-count is off the charts!! (but it's all smoke and mirrors, for I have yet to post one single word of wisdom!!) On the other hand, Ardy ... => all of your 5000-posts are "out-of-the-yard-over-the-fence-home-runs!!" Congrats (you absolutely rock, my CNG-friend) It's an absolute pleasure coining with you!! cheers
5410 here but I only started in 2009. Since we are being nostalgic about this list, let me point out that Coin Talk Ancients owes much of what it is today to Steve and Bing. It is less due to what they have done here (which is certainly noteworthy) but what they did on another discussion board that made us go shopping for a new home. I had been a member here before the exodus but rarely posted because there were so few ancient posts in their World section. A few of you are here because one of us suggested you consider this group. More of you stumbled on. Let me suggest that you make an active invitation to people you know who collect ancients and who would both benefit and be benefited by our fellowship. It is hard to find a list that fits each of our strengths but we have quite a mix. I benefit most in areas I don't collect (e.g. Nabbatean - I have one) and I appreciate the efforts all here make to make all of us better practitioners of the hobby.
As long as we're celebrating Bill's merits, let me add that he is as personable and genteel in real life as he is on CT.
Congrats on post no. 5000! I've been on this board for just over a year, but have benefited from the knowledge shared by so many members. I'm glad though that at least one honestly can say the following :
