Going thru some wheat pennies and I came across this penny that might be an error the last digit looks like a "D" or is it an "0" I will post the penny in question and a 1950 .So to me it looks like an upside down D would this be an error ? thank you John
I agree with the others. It doesn't take much to move the metal around on them. If you have some really junk coins, you can test it by using a screwdriver. Chris
Thanks again recently retired and this is a renewed hobby from 30 plus years ago I was hopping for a rarity but now looking at it I see that the 0 has a crack or split thank you
