Well, that's one way to put it. Another is, as was mentioned about the Chinese rail workers, often the least desirable jobs are available to the least respected, and at slave wages.
Or maybe the Kahnawake Mohawk and Mohawk Akwesasne communities are proud of their “high iron” construction work they did on New York City skyscrapers.
I'm sure they are, and there's nothing per se wrong with commemorating that. I actually find this reverse to be maybe one of the better post-2008 brass dollars, in a strictly compositional sense (2013 "Treaty with the Delawares" is far and away the best, IMO)... it is still a curious choice for content.
