Hi all i was working in the victorian gold fields the other day and found a queen vic florin, im trying to find out how old it is and if it is worth anything, it has a young head and these lettere mdccclrrr, my guess that is the date... Thanks... brian
Those "rrr" are actually "iii" which makes the date 1853. In Fine condition it is worth about $10.00, in Very Fine condition it is worth about $40.00.
