Which of these toned lincolns would you keep?

So I posted a while back, two 1970 S Lincoln proofs that each had pretty significant target pattern toning to them. I sent them in for grading (thanks to @bkozak33) and I got back a PR66RD and a PR67RD.

I'm probably going to try to sell one, I think I can make some money on either one of them, but I'm conflicted on which one to keep.

The PR66RD, in my opinion has the better eye appeal, the toning is stronger and more symmetric. The PR67RD is a bit less in the eye appeal department....but its a PR67.

Here are the pics...which one would you keep.

    Here's the PR66RD

I would keep the one that appeals more to "me", regardless of the grade. That is if you intend to keep one in your collection for a while.

I'd forget about the actual grade and choose the coin. I believe you'll get a nice premium for either when you auction them.

I don't think any of them should be graded RED, but that's just my opinion.

I also like the 66 more than the 67.

They are very similar, I would like to see them in hand before I make a decision. The photos make the 66 look better but both of them have some spotting and it is unclear which is spotting is more distracting from those photos.

please 'splain. It's hard to see, but in hand they are completely red under the toning, not a stitch of brown anywhere. But I'm thinking you could mean something else by that statement.

yup, know what you mean. Actually the spotting is really unnoticeable on both, you really have to magnify or look pretty hard to see it in hand.

For the most part everyone is leaning the way I am. I like the 66 better.

Coins that have 95% or more of the original red color are considered full red (as published by several references and PCGS; I have seen NGC admit to the lower 90% range, however). The coin has a lot of toning and is not >=95% or even >=90% red and it belongs in a red-brown holder IMHO.

I agree with everyone else that I like the 66 better.

I like the PR-66 the best, more range of color than the PR-67.

Lets see the reverse, one could be better then the other ..

Agreed with the comments above. Based on the obverse only, the 66 looks better than the 67.

    What Coinchemistry said!

"Completely red under the toning" isn't red.

So I'll try to get some good pics of the reverse of both of these. But I'm wondering if the reverse of these two are why the did get RD. Neither of them have any toning on the reverse. If 95% or 90% is the cutoff then could that be the reason.

Also I would say, why one is 66, and the other is 67 ...

It doesn't matter if the reverse is totally RD. There is no way that the obverse is even 90% RD.
