Hello again to all at CoinTalk ! So I picked up these (2) MS65 Morgan dollar's ( 1879-s - 1880-s ) this weekend . What should I have paid for the pair ??? Thank you all for taking a look & I look forward the your feed back ! Doug
@Doug1974 , that's a nice looking pair of early date "S" Morgans. I know this sounds stupid, but if I definitely want a coin for my collection, I'm not overly concerned what premium I pay for the coin.
WOW you do have a few coins Thank you & it's nice to know that I am not alone . I like to think I'm getting a good deal but in the end it's really only the buyers opinion . I guess as coin collectors just like to share our coins .
@Doug1974 , please share away. I just think there are many who get to hung up on a coin's price. I'm not suggesting it's not somewhat important, but it seems for many, it's the most important. If you are a dealer, than it's a different story.
I try and look for bargains, however, when I'm a coin or two away from completing a set, frugality goes out the window.
$130 each isn't unreasonable; these seem to be going anywhere between $115-$130 or so with nicer specimens going for even more.
I can't find any ms 65 NGC morgans for under 150 or close.... Which is why I still have not purchased one. -.- You were super lucky, to me anyways.... Lol.
