I'm not familiar if this is a common thing that people put their states on the coins but I'm just not sure what it is. I don't think its an error but I just found it in a roll and curious.

It should be OR for the state of Oregon.
But it looks like the person who made the counterstamp put the OR upside down on the outline of the state and even worse was put sideways on the Cent

Hey @paddyman98 ? Since it's an Error stamp, do you think it's worth say, more than a dollar? :hilarious::confused:

I’ve found a couple roll hunting from time to time. Not worth much of anything but still cool to find. Some people collect these.

As stated, it’s a counter stamped cent of the state of Oregon. These are known as Novelty Cents. They make thousands of different types. Lincoln facing Kennedy, Lincoln smoking a cigar and all 50 states are no problem.
