    Are you referring to the mark from the top of the "T" toward the base of the neck?
    If it is raised, it might be a die gouge.

    all those lines are raised. like a splash of metal but its under the we trust

    It would be nice to have better close-ups. However, if most of those lines are raised as you say, then maybe the die was heavily abraded by a Mint employee.

    Thanks Guys! I figured it was some sort of die striations, heavy gouging or something to that effect. Just picked through quite a few and this one caught my eye

    I have those all over the top of the reverse of a '70-D. What still has me going is how far apart they're spaced.
