Can anybody help me to know the value of Austria, Joseph I, Ducat, 1915 (Restrike) FRANC . IOS . I . D . G . AVSTRIAE IMPERATOR Laureate head of Joseph I right LOD . ILL . REX A . A . 1915-HVNGAR . BOHEM . GAL . Crowned double-headed imperial eagle facing Reeded edge 3.4909g, .9860 Gold, .1106oz AGW, 20mm KM 22676 The coin has few dents and scartches.I have seen the same coin on net at this location http://www.beastcoins.com/World/Austria/E0065.jpg with regards lucy
Lucy, the 20th Century Krause catalogue doesn't actually list a price as such, but indicates it by the letters 'BV',which is to indicate that the coin is sold based on bullion value. Aidan.
Lucy: Especially with the minor damage, multiply .1106 times today's ending spot price of gold or tomorrow;s spot price. That's the retail price of the coin, but dealers are going to deduct 10 to 15 per cent off the BV to purchase it - they'll add 10 to 15 per cent to sell it to you. Clinker
I hae the same coin; I just did quick search and there you were! Absolutely amazing. I just took out my mother's gold coin and typed in "HVNGAR" on my web browser, and you popped up. I was just looking up the type of coin it was and what it might be worth. Your description is EXACT!! Can't find anything yet, but I just started. Contact me and we can work together on it. Did you ever find anything out??
Lexililred,it is traded based on its bullion value, hence the letters 'BV' in the price columns in Krause. The bullion price changes from day to day.One day,the gold price may shoot up,then the next day,it could come down. Aidan.
